“This is a song that I wrote a few years back, um, maybe ten years ago for the Say You Will album. I think it’s safe to say that this was written at a time when much of the turmoil and underpinnings that fueled our early time in Fleetwood Mac, all of that was behind us. As were many of the illusions that we might have held onto. We’re coming onto the very end of the European tour. This is the second to last show and, um, this is something that Stevie and I do. By ourselves. It’s a song I wrote about Stevie and, um - I’ve known Stevie since I was about sixteen years old and - yeah, last year, he says *laughs* - Yeah. Thank you for that. And, um, you know, we’ve been down a long, long road together and there are times where maybe you just keep taking it for granted and think it’s never gonna end but I’m realizing now, you know, that we are getting to a point where you really can’t take anything for granted. And I’m just gonna dedicate this, as we come to the end of this leg of the tour, the end of this cycle of touring very soon, I’m going to dedicate this song to Stevie. This is called Say Goodbye.”
